Class of 2027 offensive lineman Jayin ‘Boogie’ Talib, the younger brother of current Buff Yamil Talib, announced his commitment to the Black and Gold on Sunday.
The 6-foot-2, 275-pound big man from Allen High School (Tex.) had been on the Buffs’ radar since his offer on April 23. Boogie Talib also had offers from Power 4 programs North Carolina State and Texas Tech.

O-line coach Gunnar White recruited Boogie Talib as a center. However he’s also played defensive line, excelling as a two way player. Being well-rounded across the trenches, he comes from a family of athletes.
Boogie Talib’s uncle is notable 12-year NFL veteran and Super Bowl Champion Aqib Talib. He also came with Boogie to Boulder on his official visit. Aqib Talib’s respect for Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders helped pull Yamil Talib back in December and now sends another one.
Boogie Talib joins a commitment class as one of five total linemen for Colorado in 2027. All together, the Buffs are up to 17 total recruits who’ve chosen Boulder as their future school.
