Dante’ Carter joined Colorado in 2025 as a graduate assistant working with the defensive line and was promoted to defensive line coach in February 2026.

Carter earned the promotion after helping develop the Buffaloes’ defensive front during the 2025 season. He previously coached the defensive line at Texas College, where the Steers led the Sooner Athletic Conference and ranked fourth nationally in the NAIA with 39 sacks while finishing 8–3 in 2024.

A former defensive tackle, Carter began his college career at Southeastern Louisiana before playing three seasons at Prairie View A&M. He recorded 29 tackles, two tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks during the 2022 season.

The Crescent City native was a first-team Louisiana Class 5A All-State selection and district defensive MVP at St. Augustine High School. Nicknamed “Baby Sapp,” Carter has also trained under pass-rush specialist BT Jordan and worked with NFL defenders including Myles Garrett, Danielle Hunter, Nik Bonitto and Will Anderson Jr.
