Grant Hammer

About Hammer

Grant Hammer serves as a football assistant working with Colorado’s offensive line after previously holding coaching assistant and quality control roles with the Buffaloes.

Hammer joined Colorado’s football operation by the 2024 season and was listed as a quality control analyst in 2025. He moved into his current offensive line role ahead of the 2026 season, assisting with the development and preparation of the Buffaloes’ offensive front.

Before entering coaching, Hammer attended Wisconsin Lutheran College, where he competed for four seasons on the men’s golf team. A team captain and conference scholar-athlete, he earned degrees in mathematics and physics before completing a master’s degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Colorado.

A native of Germantown Hills in the Prairie State, Hammer attended Metamora Township High School and later continued competing with CU’s club golf program.
