Joc Upton moved into his current role as Colorado’s offensive analyst working with the running backs in February 2026 after spending two seasons in the Buffaloes’ recruiting operation. He served as assistant director of player personnel in 2025 before transitioning back to the offensive side of the program.
Before arriving in Boulder, Upton held offensive support positions at Houston Christian, Ole Miss and California. He served as an offensive quality control coach at Houston Christian, an analyst at Ole Miss and an offensive quality control assistant at Cal.
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Upton played wide receiver at Bethel University after attending Pope John Paul II High School. He earned Academic All-Mid-South Conference recognition during his collegiate career.
The Music City product brings experience in offensive preparation, player personnel and recruiting to Colorado’s running backs room, where he assists position coach Johnnie Mack.
