Bill Cartun serves as Colorado men’s basketball’s director of basketball operations, overseeing the program’s daily administration, budget, team travel and video operations.
Cartun also coordinates the Buffaloes’ film needs, including opponent scouting, film exchange, video-room management and preparation of game footage for the coaching staff. In addition, he directs CU’s summer basketball camps, which have continued to grow during his tenure.
Before arriving in Boulder, Cartun spent three seasons with the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats as a basketball operations assistant and assistant video coordinator. His responsibilities included preparing scouting edits, evaluating college prospects and assisting with NBA Draft preparation.
A product of the Constitution State, Cartun earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Bates College and a master’s degree in sport management from Connecticut, where he worked with the men’s basketball program as a student assistant. He and his wife, Ashley, have two daughters, Julianna and Finley.
