Evan Battey joined Colorado’s men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach and quality control analyst on July 8, 2024, returning to Boulder after two seasons of professional basketball overseas.
Battey played for the Lugano Tigers in Switzerland during the 2023–24 season, averaging 19.1 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists. He previously began his professional career with Rilski Sportist in Bulgaria.
One of the most recognizable Buffaloes of the Tad Boyle era, Battey played at Colorado from 2017–22 and appeared in 133 consecutive games. He helped CU reach the 2021 NCAA Tournament and two NIT appearances while contributing to a program-record 88 victories during his four active seasons.
Battey earned second-team All-Pac-12 honors as a senior after averaging 12.4 points and leading the conference in 3-point percentage. The Los Angeles native finished his CU career with 1,307 points and 667 rebounds and earned his journalism degree from Colorado in 2021.
