Rawley Klingsmith joined Colorado’s sports medicine staff as the athletic trainer for men’s basketball and the spirit squad after more than a decade at Northern Colorado.
Klingsmith previously served as Northern Colorado’s head athletic trainer and assistant athletic director for human performance, overseeing medical support across the Bears’ 19 intercollegiate sports. He also worked alongside Tad Boyle during Boyle’s tenure as UNC’s head coach.
In 2015, Klingsmith served as the athletic trainer for the United States men’s basketball team that earned a bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Toronto.
Earlier in his career, Klingsmith worked with the Denver Broncos, Oregon and New Mexico, gaining experience in football, wrestling and sports medicine operations.
A native of Karval on Colorado’s Eastern Plains, Klingsmith earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and athletic training from Northern Colorado and a master’s degree in sports medicine from Oregon.
