Morgen “Coach Mo” Cote joined Colorado’s strength and conditioning staff in April 2025 after three seasons as an assistant strength and conditioning coach with Rice football.
At Rice, Cote also served as football nutrition coordinator and supported sports science initiatives using performance-tracking, neurofeedback and virtual reality technologies. She worked closely with quarterbacks and specialists, led the program’s developmental group during the preseason and incorporated cognitive training and visualization techniques designed to improve on-field decision-making. She also directed strength and conditioning for the Owls’ swimming and diving programs.
Cote previously held sports performance roles at Fresno State, Tarleton State and Yale, working with football, basketball, swimming and diving, and spirit programs.
A native of Lloydminster, Alberta, Cote later moved to Houston and earned a sports conditioning degree from Texas A&M, with minors in neuroscience and coaching. She added a master’s degree from Tarleton State. While at Texas A&M, she competed in rugby and helped the Aggies win a state championship in 15s.
