Xavier Adibi joined Colorado as defensive ends assistant coach on June 4, 2026, after four seasons coaching linebackers at his alma mater, Virginia Tech.
Adibi previously spent three seasons as defensive coordinator at Texas A&M-Commerce and began his college coaching career with stops at Arkansas and Garden City Community College.
A standout linebacker at Virginia Tech, Adibi earned first-team All-America and All-ACC honors in 2007 after leading the Hokies with 115 tackles. He was selected by the Houston Texans in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft and earned PFWA All-Rookie recognition. Adibi played five NFL seasons with Houston, Minnesota and Tennessee before transitioning into coaching. He was inducted into the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 2021.
Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Adibi starred at Phoebus High School in Virginia’s Hampton Roads region, helping the Phantoms capture consecutive state championships before beginning his decorated college career.
