Carson Crawford joined Colorado in 2026 as an early enrollee after a championship-filled career at Carthage High School in East Texas.
Crawford helped Carthage win three state championships during a 57-2 run, but he credits the program just as much for teaching him how to prepare. Detailed film study, walkthroughs and extra work became habits long before he arrived in Boulder.
His personality changes considerably once he steps off the field. Crawford describes his playing style as fast, physical and violent, but says he wants people who meet him away from football to remember him as kind and outgoing. He has also spoken strongly about being a student first, after spending all four years of high school on the A/B honor roll.
Crawford grew up playing baseball, served his community through his church and comes from a close family. His goal for his eventual CU legacy is simple: for fans to know he gave everything he had on every play.
