Charlie Williams joined Colorado in 2024 after beginning his college career at UNLV, bringing him back to his home state.
The Aspen native took an unusually well-traveled route to college football. Williams spent his first three high school seasons at Aspen before playing at Governor’s Academy in Massachusetts and eventually IMG Academy in Florida. He also transitioned from wide receiver to tight end along the way.
Football was only part of his athletic background growing up in the mountains. Williams competed in track and played lacrosse at Aspen, giving him experience across several sports before settling into tight end.
The Roaring Fork Valley product made his collegiate debut with Colorado after spending his first years developing at UNLV and CU. Williams has also studied communication, adding an academic interest that fits alongside a football path shaped by adapting to new positions, schools and environments.
