Christian Ward joined Colorado as part of the 2026 recruiting class after completing his high school career at IMG Academy.
A consensus three-star prospect, Ward averaged more than 20 yards per reception during his senior season at IMG and was recognized as both the program’s Offensive Player of the Year and recipient of its Leadership Award. He previously caught 46 passes for 768 yards and 10 touchdowns at Walton High School and played alongside Colorado quarterback Julian Lewis at Carrollton.
The Peach State product also competed in basketball and track and field during his prep career.
Away from football, Ward enjoys hiking, training, long walks and listening to music while studying. He comes from a large family with four brothers, and football is part of the family tree: his uncle, Jamal Hatten, also played collegiately. Ward’s combination of multi-sport athleticism and recognized leadership helped define his path to Boulder.
