Domata Peko Jr. joined Colorado in 2026 after developing into one of the nation’s highest-rated junior college edge defenders at Ventura College.
Peko recorded 16 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries at Ventura. ESPN rated him the nation’s top junior college edge defender, while multiple services ranked him among the top 11 junior college prospects overall.
A two-way standout at Calabasas High School, Peko earned all-league and all-county honors while playing tight end and edge defender. He also competed in soccer.
Football is deeply rooted in the Southern California product’s family. His father, longtime NFL defensive tackle Domata Peko, coaches Colorado’s defensive line, while multiple uncles and cousins have also played professionally. Away from the family business, Peko has a decidedly quieter creative outlet: he enjoys painting in his free time.
