Dylan Manuel joined Colorado in 2026 after beginning his college career at Charleston Southern and continuing it at Appalachian State.
The Stockbridge, Georgia, native was lightly recruited coming out of high school despite helping lead Stockbridge to a state championship appearance. Rather than allowing that to define his ceiling, Manuel built his career one level at a time. He earned Freshman All-America recognition at Charleston Southern, moved up to the FBS level at App State and eventually reached the Power Four with Colorado.
Manuel has described that climb as continually betting on himself. Playing FBS football was once the dream; after reaching that level, Power Four football became the next one.
That path has also shaped his perspective on change. Manuel talks about adversity in terms of how well a person adapts, an outlook that has served him through multiple schools and coaching transitions.
His football philosophy is equally straightforward: control the run first, help the players around him make plays and earn everything that comes afterward.
