Emory Floyd joined Colorado ahead of the 2026 season after earning All-Sun Belt honorable mention recognition at Appalachian State.
Floyd started all 13 games for the Mountaineers in 2025, recording 57 tackles, six pass breakups, an interception and a tackle for loss. The season marked a breakthrough after three years at South Carolina, where injuries limited his opportunities and he appeared in seven games. He also competed as a sprinter for the Gamecocks’ track and field program.
Floyd was a three-star prospect by most recruiting services out of Hillgrove High School, while Rivals rated him as a four-star recruit. He recorded four interceptions in nine games as a senior.
The Cobb County product brings both SEC experience and a full season of starting production to Boulder, along with the speed that once saw him compete in the 60-, 100- and 200-meter events at South Carolina.
