Hudson Steber joined Colorado in 2025 after growing up and playing his high school football just down the road in Evergreen.
Steber was a four-year varsity player at Evergreen High School, lining up on both the offensive and defensive lines while also competing in track and field. He earned First-Team All-Conference recognition before continuing his football career with the Buffaloes.
The Centennial State product has said he fell in love with football after beginning the sport in fifth grade. As a high school recruit, Steber described spending much of his time either weightlifting to become stronger or working in the classroom to improve his grades.
That makes his path to CU a particularly local developmental story: an Evergreen kid who grew up loving the game, worked his way onto the roster at the state’s flagship university and has continued developing practically in his own backyard.
