Immanuel Ezeogu joined Colorado in 2026 after two seasons at James Madison, including a 2025 campaign that ended with the Dukes reaching the College Football Playoff.
The Suffolk, Virginia, native brought versatility to football long before college. At Nansemond River High School, Ezeogu earned all-region recognition at linebacker, defensive end and receiver, playing significant roles on both sides of the ball.
That varied background eventually developed into a defensive role at James Madison, where he worked his way from a redshirt season into the regular rotation before transferring to Boulder.
Away from football, Ezeogu studied psychology at James Madison. He is the son of Obi Ezeogu and Donna Boston and grew up with three sisters, Riri, Chichi and Anaya.
The Hampton Roads product’s path has been one of steady development, from a multi-position high school athlete to a College Football Playoff participant and ultimately an opportunity in Colorado’s defensive front.
