Jason Stokes Jr. joined Colorado ahead of the 2026 season after spending his freshman year at Utah.
Stokes appeared in all 12 regular-season games for the Utes in 2025, primarily on special teams. He recorded three tackles and added a pass breakup against Baylor before transferring to Boulder.
A three-star prospect from Weiss High School, Stokes developed into one of the Austin area’s top defensive backs. He recorded 50 tackles and seven pass breakups as a senior after totaling three interceptions and four breakups the previous year. He earned first-team All-District honors and helped Weiss capture a district championship in 2023.
The Central Texas product also distinguished himself academically, earning Academic All-District recognition during his prep career. Stokes arrives at Colorado with experience contributing immediately on special teams and a background as both a productive defender and strong student.
