Leon Bell joined Colorado in 2026 after a college journey through Kilgore College, Mississippi State and California.
The Dickinson, Texas, native began at the junior college level, where he earned first-team all-conference recognition and helped Kilgore win a conference championship before making the jump to the SEC. After two seasons at Mississippi State, Bell became a regular starter at Cal and eventually brought that extensive experience to Boulder.
Bell’s athletic background started well before his 6-foot-8 frame became his calling card on the offensive line. He also played basketball at Dickinson High School while helping anchor a football offense that produced thousands of yards on the ground and through the air.
The Gulf Coast product is the son of April Kirk. During his time at Mississippi State, Bell studied interdisciplinary studies and earned SEC Academic Honor Roll recognition.
