Leonardo Valle joined Colorado in 2025 after playing his high school football at Richmond Hill in coastal Georgia.
His path to Colorado’s running back room is an unusual one. Valle played linebacker during his senior season at Richmond Hill, bringing a defensive background and a physical frame to an entirely different position in Boulder.
Valle redshirted during his first year at CU while making the transition and developing within the program.
The Georgia coast product played two varsity seasons at Richmond Hill under head coach Matt LeZotte. With relatively little public recruiting history or biographical information available, Valle represents one of the roster’s more under-the-radar developmental stories, making his move from high school linebacker to college running back one of the most interesting parts of his early career.
