Luke Whiting joined Colorado ahead of the 2025 season after a winding college path through Idaho State, Florida Atlantic and a spring at Georgia Tech.
The Holladay, Utah, native began his college career at Idaho State, where he saw action as a freshman before continuing his development as a long snapper at multiple programs. At Olympus High School in the Salt Lake Valley, Whiting was rated among the top long snappers in his recruiting class.
As a high school recruit, Whiting described himself as coachable and hardworking and said he wanted a college experience that would allow him to develop as a football player while also receiving a quality education and enjoying life outside the sport.
That perspective fits a specialist whose career has required patience and adaptability. Whiting’s route to Boulder has included several stops, but each has kept him moving toward an opportunity to contribute at the Power Four level.
