Makari Vickers joined Colorado ahead of the 2025 season after two years at Oklahoma.
Vickers played in eight games with two starts for the Buffaloes in 2025, recording 13 tackles, three pass breakups and a quarterback hurry. He made his first collegiate start against Wyoming after appearing in 12 games during his Oklahoma career.
A unanimous four-star prospect out of Florida, Vickers was ranked among the nation’s top 10 safeties by several recruiting services. He played his senior season at Robert F. Munroe Day School after beginning his prep career at St. John Paul II, totaling 165 tackles, five interceptions and 23 pass breakups across three varsity seasons.
The Tallahassee product also contributed on offense in high school, including 426 receiving yards and two touchdowns as a senior while helping Robert F. Munroe reach the Class 1A state semifinals.
