Maurice “Mojo” Williams Jr. joined Colorado in 2026 as an early enrollee after graduating ahead of schedule from Edna Karr High School.
Williams became a starter at Karr as a sophomore and helped one of Louisiana’s premier programs win consecutive state championships in 2024 and 2025. The Cougars went 27-0 during his final two seasons as a starter, a winning standard Williams describes simply as being “second to none.”
The New Orleans native credits his hometown with giving him confidence and his father with teaching him that football offers lessons far beyond the game itself. He has also spoken about losing both grandmothers during high school and carrying their memory as part of his motivation.
Williams says Colorado has helped him discover who he is away from family and home. Asked what he brings to the field, his answer fits his nickname and personality: energy, confidence, playmaking and fun. His goal is equally uncomplicated: he wants “Mojo Williams” to become a household name.
