Paul Omodia joined Colorado ahead of the 2026 season after stops at Illinois State and Lamar.
Omodia started all 13 games at Lamar in 2025, recording 57 tackles and a sack while leading the Southland Conference with 14 forced incompletions. His performance earned all-conference recognition. He previously played two seasons at Illinois State, starting six games in 2024 and finishing with 32 tackles, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
A Houston-area product, Omodia developed into a three-year varsity contributor at Fort Bend Bush. He earned first-team all-district honors, team MVP recognition and league All-Purpose Player of the Year as a senior after twice receiving all-district recognition earlier in his career.
Omodia also earned Academic All-District honors in high school, pairing his development as a defensive back with success in the classroom before beginning his college career at Illinois State.
