Samu Taumanupepe joined Colorado in 2026 after previous stops at Texas A&M and Baylor.
The Greater Houston product played at Atascocita High School, where he developed into an all-district defensive lineman and helped the Eagles become a regular presence deep in the Texas high school playoffs.
Taumanupepe remained in his home state to begin his college career at Texas A&M before transferring to Baylor and eventually making the move to Boulder.
His path through three Power Four programs has given him experience in several different defensive environments while allowing him to continue developing as an interior presence. The 6-foot-3, 350-pound defensive lineman brings size, experience and a Texas football background to Colorado’s defensive front.
