ayne DeSouza joined Colorado in 2025 after starring just up the road at Loveland High School.
The Centennial State product earned consecutive first-team all-conference honors while developing into one of Colorado’s top-rated high school prospects. After arriving in Boulder, he redshirted while continuing his development at tight end.
DeSouza comes from a family with three older brothers, Weston, Brock and Cole, and is the son of Tammy and Daniel DeSouza.
His CU bio also includes a detail that says considerably more about him than another recruiting ranking: DeSouza volunteers with a nonprofit that supports local athletes. That community connection feels particularly fitting for a player whose football journey has remained close to home, taking him from Loveland to the state’s flagship program in Boulder.
