Former Colorado point guard Nate Tomlinson returned to Boulder as assistant coach and director of player development, beginning his second stint on the Buffaloes’ staff.
Tomlinson previously served as a CU coaching intern before spending two seasons as director of player development from 2019–21. He later worked as an assistant coach at George Mason and Providence, helping the Friars win 21 games during the 2023–24 season.
A four-year letter winner for Colorado from 2008–12, Tomlinson helped the Buffaloes win the inaugural Pac-12 Tournament championship and reach the 2012 NCAA Tournament. He finished his career with 406 assists and was part of 74 victories, then the most in program history.
The Australian native played six professional seasons for Melbourne United before entering coaching. He also coached Team Colorado in The Basketball Tournament and guided the alumni squad to the second round in 2019.
Tomlinson and his wife, Rebecah, a former Colorado volleyball player, have three children.
