Isaac Wilson joined Colorado ahead of the 2026 season after two years at Utah, where he gained significant experience as a true freshman quarterback.
Wilson started seven games in 2024 and threw for 1,510 yards and 10 touchdowns. He became the first true freshman quarterback in Utah history to defeat an AP-ranked opponent, leading the Utes past No. 14 Oklahoma State, and the first freshman in program history to throw for more than 200 yards in three consecutive starts.
A consensus four-star prospect from Corner Canyon, Wilson was named Utah’s Mr. Football after setting a state single-season record with 5,901 yards of total offense and leading the Chargers to a state championship.
The Beehive State product comes from a quarterback family. His older brother, Zach, became the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Those close to Isaac have described him as relaxed, fun-loving and quick to joke with teammates, even while navigating the expectations that came with his family name.
