Joseph Williams joined Colorado ahead of the 2025 season after earning American Conference Freshman of the Year honors at Tulsa.
Williams made six starts in 10 games for the Buffaloes in 2025, finishing second on the team with 37 receptions, 489 receiving yards and four touchdowns. His best performance came against Iowa State, when he caught all eight of his targets for 128 yards and a score and earned PFF Big 12 Wide Receiver of the Week recognition.
At Tulsa, Williams caught 30 passes for 588 yards and five touchdowns while averaging 19.6 yards per reception, becoming the first Golden Hurricane player to earn the conference’s Freshman of the Year award.
A Dallas-Fort Worth product, Williams played receiver and safety at Mansfield Summit, totaling 2,054 offensive yards and 35 touchdowns while adding three interceptions and eight blocked kicks. He also competed in track and field.
